I've got a lot of catching up to do. Yikes! I haven't blogged in forever. Oh well!!
First off, happy birthday to our little buddy Drew. He's our neighbor and just super precious.
This fall has been so much fun. A certain friend said just today that she wished she could freeze time. Her boys are one and four and that was a great age. I've gotta say five and seven have been pretty fantastic as well. Sure they argue with each other some more but if that is the biggest downside I will take it.
We've been trying to take as much advantage of outside as we can. Between soccer, church, gymnastics, and my job we do stay pretty busy though.
Brent has recently learned to ride without training wheels and he is getting extremely fast!!! Watch out !!!!
Caitlyn is such a care taker. The other day while I was reading Brent a night time story on the couch she got up, went around to the other couch and started separating laundry. I was watching out if the corner of my eye proudly but mostly holding breath just praying that she wouldn't stop. What an answer to prayer!!! Someone was helping with the laundry y'all!!!
I love how these two choose to snuggle together. I know it won't last forever so I'm gonna enjoy it while if lasts. It's the little things.
September is always an incredibly tough month. After a summer of luxury it is hard to get settled into routines of getting up to an alarm, assessing students, writing names of a bazillion items at school to name a few. I rarely ever get out of school before 5 o'clock.
In fact my desk at school is never this clean. I desperately wish it were but... I guess I'm just not built that way but I'm going to keep trying.
I have made more time for shopping and sweet time with sweetie pie. Can you take a guess where my little guy was?
My kids love to read books on the computer. I had already read to Brent but Caitlyn was reading her book. They were hiding from the camera. Ha!
I will probably get in trouble but this picture was taken one morning over a clothing argument. I love her frown. She reminds me of someone!!!!
My little guy was do upset because be kept coming in last place in the race car game on the iPad. He would tear up and try again. He has persistence for sure!!
Not a lot if pictures lately to blog about but we have slowly gotten into a routine. We are thankful for cooler weather to get out enjoy playing with our neighbors.
Big night here at our house! Brent learned how to ride his bike bug boy style. He was a bit frantic at first but five minutes later he was cruising down the street!! I'm so proud of him and looking forward to more runs with small bike riders in tow or maybe even family bike rides.
It was a day all about golf, football and well guy things. And of course more presents! Brent got a new Kinnect game, baseball bases, a new glove, and more. He requested spaghetti for dinner which we blessed to have excellent weather to get to eat outside. And we ate the top of his cake. It was a great day! The next day he exclaimed, Mommy I really 5 today! Being 5 is pretty awesome! I pray all his dreams come true! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
Yesterday we celebrated Brent's birthday party at Shenigans! He invited friends from school and they had a blast!
It's so hard to believe that my sweet baby boy has grown up so quickly. It seems like yesterday that we had him and today he is turning 5. He insists that we call him a big boy. I really like to call him "my baby". But he will not allow it (Boo!)
He loved his cake! And so did we. A lady at Jeff's office made it and she just makes cakes for a hobby. It was terrific!
He had a bowling party and everyone had a great time!
I didn't get a picture of everyone but even the adults got to bowl. It was also a good dance floor for the kids!
Baby Drew came to our party! And I had just a few pictures. Isn't he a cutie!
It isn't a party until you have a cake!
Brent would open his present and then Caitlyn would hold it up and proudly so everyone could see. I love her enthusiasm. I'm so glad she never got jealous or upset. It was a great party!!
