Caitlyn had a blast trick-or-treating. It was however an adventurous start. We started at our next door neighbors house. She goes there frequently and even stayed there while I was in the hospital. Well tonight she threw herself down on the porch and curled into a ball. So we are thinking - short night. So we go to the next house. We don't even know the guy and she goes right up and picks a piece of candy. She carried that piece in her hand to the next couple of houses. Then it finally clicked. She started running to each door and running back to us saying, "I trick or treat." She called the candy trickertreat too. We went on a usually 12 minute walk for 1.5 hours. My feet are very tired. Brent was a trooper. I think he enjoyed the outdoors. It was a gorgeous night, in the high 70's when we began.
This week is parent-teacher conference. I have had a 7:30 conference each day so far, but tomorrow I don't. I'm so excited - that's like 20 more minutes of sleep!
I am so thankful to Peggy Smith, my long term sub. I have started teaching in the middle of the year before so I know all the difficulties a teacher can have when multiple teachers have come before you. I have a fantastic class and a great sub. I have stepped right back into the class with no issues. One of the biggest things I've noticed is that kids sharpen their pencils whenever they want and they think they can use my electric pencil sharpener. Now if you are going to have any problems, that's a good one to have.

Sweet Face
While in the bathroom while Caitlyn was brushing her teeth (it was her turn tonight) I just kept looking at her sweet face. She was smiling so big. She has such a cute, adorable face and gorgeous hazel eyes.
I thought in to the future at how much fun it will be when I am able to understand everything she says. Sometimes you can understand everything so clearly and then she speaks complete jibberish. Tonight at the dinner table she told me, "Daddy will spank me." I told her yes he does sometimes. She finally said, "Daddy spank me on my butt." I had to laugh. Where does she learn this stuff. At least she knows the parts of the body!
Brent has such a sweet, chubby face. I love to kiss him on his fat cheeks. It's so hard not to eat him up - although I refrain. I weighed him last night on the bathroom scale. It says he's 12.5 lbs. I have checked that with the doctor's office on the day of and it is pretty close. He is usually a little bit under, so I'd guess he is 12 lbs. WOW!
Jeff said that he pretty much smiled all morning. Jeff is staying home with the kids in the morning until around 11:15 and it's been awesome. He helps with the laundry, dishes (he loads and unloads the dishwasher), and the house is always straightened up. This is the best gift he could have given me for going back to work.
Although my day is jam packed when I get home. I have to bring in about 6 bags from the car consisting of my purse, lunch bag, pumping bag, Caitlyn's backpack, Brent's baby bag and if I have it my teaching bag. Oh yeah and my jacket. Then I get Brent and Caitlyn out. Today I got all the above, Brent and Caitlyn in in the same trip. I did not get the mail.
Now after that I really want to fall down and veg, but I can't. I have to feed Brent, change over laundry, start dinner, clean up living room, continue dinner, play a game with Caitlyn, clean up living room, finish dinner, and on and on. Usually all while holding Brent.
I could go on and on but recess is over! Time to go again. (Thanks for the tip mom, via dad, via Kari!!!!)

First Timer!
I'm super excited to have my own blog, thanks to my dad and sister. My dad provided the name and my sister set up the site for me. Thank you!
First things first, Happy Birthday Kari. I love you lots and am so glad we are so close - thanks to the telephone.
Brent rolled over tonight. He is 7 weeks old so I'm pretty sure it was total accident. I left him on the couch, very close to the back of the couch. I went to take laundry to the laundry room and returned. He was on his back close to the edge. Now Caitlyn was close by so it is possible that she had something to do with this. However she is getting good at telling on herself for both good and bad. So I really think it was by accident. Either way it was cool. Question is do you count it as his first?
Today at school I had to get on to one of my students. I actually said, "That's a no-no." I had to promptly apologize. Can you believe it? Then another student kindly said, "You can use no-no, we like that." They are such a sweet group.
Yikes, now I'm wondering how to end this blog. Do I say Sincerely, Stephanie or I'll get back to you later? I remember always having trouble with this when I would attempt to keep a diary too.
